Spotted for sale #9

This weeks spotted for sale car of the week is a limited edition Lamborghini Murcielago, it's called the Prindiville and as you can see it has many different features than the standard Murcielago. First of all you will probably notice the body-kit, mostly the rear diffuser as it does stick out a bit. There are only 5 of these Murcielago Prindiville's in the world and this is the only one in Europe. This Murcielago also has a different style exhaust which not only looks different but also increases performance.
I do not own these images.
The interior of the car is also a bit different aside from the red/black colours the bespoke interior re-trim with high-grade precision milled aluminium jewelry around it. This car has 360-degree external camera coverage along side a 1000 watt entertainment system with TV, DVD, satnav, security tracking and rear parking sensors; making it a truly unique car. Check out a video of this car in the Video section of this blog!

This car has only covered 5000 miles since it was new in 2005, so it's barely been used. This car is being sold by Prindiville but is advertised on the Auto Trader UK website, view the advert here.
Price: £230,000.

Wrecked #8

This weeks wrecked post consits of a Ferrari 458 Italia that was crashed in China, as you can see from the pictures it is a very, very bad crash and the car is completely written off. The Ferrari had 3 people in when it crashed, the young driver was the son of a prominent Chinese government official, with him in the car were 2 female passengers both sat in the passenger seat, none of them were wearing seatbelts. Unfortunatly the driver of the car was killed on impact and the 2 girls
were sent to hospital with serious injuries, what theire fete is, I don't know, but may the driver Rest In Peace. China has censored this crash and even removed all search engine results for the term 'Ferrari'. You can view this post here and also check out Wrecked Exotics for more images/stories of wrecked cars. Thank you for reading, more posts coming soon! :-)

Spotted for sale #8

This week I have found an incredibly rare car for sale, it's a 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Series Cabriolet. There are only 40 of these cars in the world, and how many of them have actually lasted this long, I do not know. I'm not really a huge fan of classic cars however I have to admit, this one is beautiful, everything about it is just perfect. I also love the way that classic Ferrari's are engineered by men in workshops rather than scientists in research labs, it gives the cars so much more passion and flare.
I do not own these images.
This particular 250 GT Cabriolet has only had one owner over the last 30 years, the mileage is not specified but I would imagine it's incredibly low, as you can see form the images, this car is in almost perfect condition. The Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet has a tiny 3.0l V12 engine, this one has has been restored in 1991 by KTR Engineering. This Ferrari 250 GT Series Cabriolet is for sale on James List.
Price: £2,264,779.

Wrecked #7

This weeks wrecked post is another slightly unusual one. There's no point in writing a lot about it, the picture explains it all. A Chevrolet Corvette crashed through a shop window, as you can see the 'Vette is well lodged into this post office in Florida. According to the description under the photo it was a 72 year old woman driving the insanely powerful, rear-wheel drive V8 monster when the crash took place. I'm not being ageist but a 72 year old lady shouldn't be driving such a car, when she clearly can't handle it properly. The Corvette isn't the sort of car that you can just expect to be able to drive, it has a V8 engine, rear-wheel drive and the engine is at the front, so the rear wheels don't have much traction. Thank you for reading this post and as usual, the images aren't mine, they are from Wrecked Exotics. View this article and more here.

Spotted for sale #7

This weeks I have spotted a Rolls-Royce Ghost for sale, but not just any Ghost, this one is modified by Fenice Milano, it's called the Diva, so I think you can probably tell how this is going to look. Let me just give you a bit of information on Rolls-Royce before I tell you more about this car. Rolls-Royce was founded by Charles Rolls and Henry Royce in Manchester, in 1906. Rolls-Royce has always produced luxury British, hand-built cars (although now the company is

owned by BMW) and this 'Diva' model has nothing British about it, it's all 24kt cold and very 'in your face', just look at it! Personally I think it's hideous, although others may disagree, of course. In my opinion Rolls-Royce should be painted dark Grey, Black, Silver or dark Green as it just keeps the look a bit more classy. Anyway, more on this particular car; it's essentially a modified Rolls-Royce Ghost, it has Pearl White

paint with 24kt gold bonnet, grill and small body-kit. The interior of the car is also covered in Gold with White/Cartier leather covering the seats and dashboard. The rims are 22" and are finished in Pearl White paint with 24kt Gold lips for high performance tires. For more information visit the advert on James List.
Price: £911,295.

I do not own any of these images.

Wrecked #6

I do not own this image.
This weeks wrecked post is an unusual one, this Porsche 911 got stuck in cement after the driver got too impatient an went to take a shortcut around some traffic cones! This happened in San Francisco, not sure where exactly, I'm just going on the information provided with the photo. As you can see the workmen are trying to push the Porsche out as quickly as possible so it doesn't get stuck and need cutting out! Unfortunately the cement will have to be re-done, however on the plus side, no one was injured, apart from the car ;-). Check out the Wrecked Exotics Home Page for more wrecked cars! The link to this specific article is here.

Spotted for sale #6

This weeks spotted for sale car of the week is a very special one, a Mercedes-Benz AMG CLK GTR. Number 17 of only 25 made; so it is an extremely rare car. This is one of the last of the Le-Mans style hardcore track-yet-road-legal hyper cars from the 1990's, and you have to say, it looks fabulous. I love the way it has such a hardcore track going look, it looks absolutely evil.

The chances of seeing one of these cars is incredibly small, mostly because there are only 25 in the world but also because it is so exclusive and difficult to drive on regular roads, most of these amazing cars will be locked away and only see the light of day when their owners unleash them at concourse events. This car costs as-near-as makes no difference 1 million pounds, and only has 1492 miles on the clock since it was made in 2000, so it is in immaculate condition.

Check out James List to see the advert for this incredible car! Thanks for reading :-)
Price: £953,128

Please note: I do not own any of these images.

Wrecked #5

This wrecked post contains more than one car, it contains fourteen cars with a combined value of around £2.5million; eight Ferrari's, a Lamborghini, a Mercedes and two Toyota's. This crash happened on a motorway in Western Japan when one of the lead Ferrari's tried to change lanes, skidded and hit a barrier, causing all of the other cars to hit each other whilst trying to avoid the spinning Ferrari. It's thought that the Ferrari's were heading to a meet in Hiroshima, Japan in the afternoon.

None of the Ferrari's were 'super expensive and ultra rare' examples, there are mostly 360's F355's, F430's, an F430 Scuderia and an F512. As you can see from the video all of the cars are pretty badly beaten up, some of them even beyond repair. Cars like these are more expensive in Japan then most other countries because there aren't many there, so the owners are at a great loss. Fortunately no one was killed but 10 people; 5 men and 5 women were taken to hospital to be treated for cuts and bruises, which was a very lucky escape when you see the severity of the crash. Click here for more information and watch the video for a better view of some badly smashed up cars.

I do not own any of the images or video included in this post.

News: Lamborghini Aventador J

As many of you probably already know, over the past few days one of the largest motoring events of the year has been underway, the Geneva Motor Show. This is the car that really stuck out from the crowd for me. It's the Lamborghini Aventador J, basically a one-off roadster version of the Aventador, and the first thing I thought when I looked at it was 'wow, Lamborghini are definitely back!' From the exterior it looks like Audi had no say whatsoever in how the car looked, this is very much a 'pure' Lamborghini, it seems as though they have gone back to their roots with this car, it looks bonkers,

has an enormous V12 and is immensely noisy. It will have the same V12 as the Aventador which means as-near-as makes no difference 700bhp and a sound that can start earthquakes. The car has no roof and barely any windscreen making it only usable in certain weather conditions i.e, when it's sunny. However the traditional 'Lambo doors' are here and they look fantastic, as always. Hopefully the 'normal' roadster version of the Avantador will be coming soon and I really hope it looks something like this!

For more information and a live unveiling of this glorious 1 off car check out this video:

Please note: I do not own any of these images and the video is not my work.

Spotted for sale #5

This weeks 'spotted for sale' car of the week is a Koenigsegg CCXR Limited Edition. I have chosen this car because it's one of the very few cars in the world that can rival the Bugatti Veyron. This Koenigsegg boasts a 5.0L V8 with a supercharger that produces 1018bhp and in a car that weighs just 1280kg it is fast, very fast; it can hit 62mph in just 2.8s and will keep accelerating until it hits a thumping 259mph. Only 6 Koenigsegg CCXR's will ever be made, so it really is a very, very rare car.
Personally, and many will disagree with me on this, I don't think the Koenigsegg is a particularly pretty car, it doesn't have the edginess of a Lamborghini or the beauty of a Ferrari however I think it looks 'pretty cool' as it were. Check out the pictures I have included and visit the website the car is being sold by for more and give your opinion! This particular Koenigsegg CCXR has 0 miles on the clock despite being a 2009 car! So you do get a pretty much brand spanking new car for the money you lay down;

which is a lot, this one is P.O.R, so I assume it's over £1,000,000. Check out the link below to view more pictures and information about this incredible car. This car is being sold by Alain Class Motors.

Wrecked #4

Sorry for this post being a couple of days late, I didn't have an opportunity to post anything on Friday or Saturday, so here is the wrecked post that should have been on Friday the 2nd of March 2012. So that is that for my small and humble apology for this post being late, enjoy the post and have fun looking at the pictures :-)

This weeks wrecked posts consists of a Ferrari F430 that, as you can see from the pictures has been absolutely destroyed. According to the information posted on Wrecked Exotics, this crash happened when a Greek entrepreneur and passenger crashed into a tree, flipped the car, splitting it in half, then it was up in flames; somehow both people in the car escaped with minor injuries! This crash happened in Athens, Greece.

Check out Wrecked Exotics for the original post containing the images of this once beautiful car. All the images in this post are property of wreckedexotics.com and I do not claim them to be my own.
Thanks for reading! :-)

News: Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

This is a design flight of the upcoming Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. Like the 599 it replaces, the F12 will have a V12 engine that was first featured in the Ferrari FF, however this reworked version produces 730bhp along with 609 torques and weighing in at just 1,525kg, the F12 Berlinetta will hit 62mph in 3.1seconds, 124mph in 8.5 and will run out of steam at a whopping 211mph. The F12 has already blitzed Ferrari's Fiorano test track in just 1minute 23seconds, faster than the Ferrari Enzo.

Check out this video for a good look at this amazing new car!

Spotted for sale #4

This weeks 'spotted for sale' car of the week is a Bugatti Veyron, and not just 'any' Veyron; it is in fact a Pur Sang, with only 5 in the world, it is an incredibly rare car!
The Bugatti Veyron is an incredible car, it provides utmost luxury combined with supersonic speed and acceleration. This Chrome/Black paint job really makes it look even more exclusive. I love the way the Bugatti Veyron looks so discreet, yet can achieve a top speed of 253mph and hits 60mph in under 3 seconds! Despite all this I have never really been a huge fan of they Veyron, if I could afford one, I would buy one (I mean, who wouldn't?!) but I would prefer to drive a Pagani Zonda or a Lamborghini, just because they have more drama and noise! The Veyron is a bit too sensible in my opinion, a bit too German and scientific.

Anyway that's enough of my opinion, here are some facts about this extraordinary car; an 8.0L W16 quad turbocharged engine producing an astonishing 1001bhp, a 7-speed DSG sequential gearbox which allows for very quick, smooth gear changes, however all of this comes at a cost, the Bugatti Veyron weighs a massive 1888kg which means it 'only' has 440bhp per tonne. The Bugatti Veyron was put into production in 2005, all the 16.4 Veyrons have been sold, however should you want one, they are available on request. The 'Pur Sang' part of the name actually means 'Thoroughbred', it was launched at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. This specific Veyron has only covered 155 miles since it was brand new in 2008, so it is still in pristine condition! You can see more of this Bugatti Veyron by clicking the link below. Thank you for reading! :-)

Morgan

This is only going to be a quick post but here we go. This is a Morgan I spotted in Exeter on Thursday, I didn't manage to get a good picture of it because I was in a rush to get back to college! I'm not sure what model it is as I'm not really clued up on Morgan's! I must say I really like the look of this car although I'm not sure a classic British sports car would really suit a 17 year old college lad though, unfortunately. If anyone knows what model this is I would be interested to find out so if you know, please comment!
I will be back to posting more detailed posts tomorrow!:-)

Sorry about the bad quality of the image, I really don't know why the camera on my Blackberry was so poor on this occasion.

Wrecked #3

This weeks 'Wrecked' post is one that many of you have probably already heard of, the Ferrari Enzo allegedly crashed by Stefan Erikssen in Malibu. I have chosen to write a blog about this crash because there is so much conspiracy/mystery behind it. The Ferrari Enzo is one of my all time favorite cars so it is genuinely saddening to see such a beautiful specimen to be ruined.
As you can see from the images, the car has been completely split in half! The engine has actually been separated the front end of the car! Ferrari has estimated it will cost around £200,000 to £250,000 to completely repair this Ferrari Enzo to it's original state. Police say that the Enzo reached a speed of 199mph before it crashed and split in half! I highly recommend that you read more about this crash on Wrecked Exotics as they have all the information you could ever want on what happened, you will also be able to view images of the car itself as most of them have been copyrighted, hence there only being one on this post (sorry about that, rules are rules unfortunately).

Below is a video clip of this crash being talked about on the news, I highly recommend that you check this out also!

Spotted for sale #3

Sorry this post is a day late, like I said in the previous post, I have been very busy recently! This is the second post of the day so don't forget to check out the previous one if you haven't already!

This weeks 'Spotted for sale' car is a Porsche Carrera GT in 'Biarritz White'. I have chosen this car because in the previous post we saw that Lewis Hamilton's father had crashed one into a hedge!

As you can see this car looks stunning in white with black wheels. I love pretty much everything about this car, it looks fantastic, goes like a bat out of hell and the sound is absolutely out of this world. This car is incredibly rare, out of just 1,270 being produced only 50 are thought to be in the UK, the chances of ever seeing one are very small. The Carrera GT produces 604bhp from it's 5.7 litre V10 engine

The Carrera GT can trace it's roots back to the 911 GT1, the exhausts, for example. I have to admit I always have loved the Carrera GT mostly because of the noise it makes, as soon as it starts up it just howls like a wounded animal, fantastic. Check out this video of Carrera GT sounds and just listen to the noise it makes! This car is being sold by Dick Lovett, check out the advert below for more.
Price £279,990.

Wrecked #2

Sorry this post is 5 days late, I've been very busy recently and haven't had time to post anything :-/ so here is the 'Wrecked' post that should have been posted on the 17th of February 2012.

This weeks wrecked post is a fairly well known crash as it was Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton's father, Anthony. The car that was unlucky enough to be involved was a grey Porsche Carrera GT that Anthony Hamilton didn't own, it was 'borrowed'. As you can see from the pictures the car is pretty badly beaten up and so is the hedge it went through!
You can read an article on this on the Daily Mail here.

The Porsche Carrera GT is an incredibly rare hyper car worth around £330,000 and only 1,270 exist in the world with 50 thought to be in the UK. With over 600bhp on tap and rear wheel drive the Carrera GT is a difficult enough car to control, but it gets more difficult, the clutch in the Carrera GT is very difficult to operate if you are inexperienced. It's a great shame that such an amazing car has lost it's life but fortunately no one was hurt.

Spotted for sale #2

This weeks rare/unusual car found for sale is a Lamborghini Reventon Roadster.

I have chosen this car as this weeks spotted for sale because it is one of my all time favorite cars, an incredibly rare and beautiful Lamborghini, I always have loved Lamborghini's because they all look so striking. In fact it was a Lamborghini Gallardo that I saw on the t.v when I was younger that really got me into cars!

The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show, it uses the engine from the Murcielago LP670-4 SV which means it is able to reach 205mph and hit 60mph in just 3.3s, this is insanely fast for a convertible car! The bodywork is inspired by a jet fighter, as you can probably tell from all of the 'sticky out bits', inside the car even the speedometer is just like the one you would find on a jet fighter. There are only 15 examples of the Reventon Roadster in the world and only 20 Reventon's, so it is an incredibly rare car.

This car is currently for sale on James List and is priced at £1,150,165. Check out the link to the advert for this amazing car below for more images and information.

I'm back!

Okay people I'm back and posting from now on! :-) although I probably won't be posting on February the 14th because I'm spending the day with my girlfriend again.

Back on with this returning post I have an image of a Ferrari Testarossa, I don't think that this is a particularly good looking Ferrari however the sound it makes is truly astonishing, sorry again about the poor quality of the image, I was in fact sat on the bus and only managed to get a quick snap of it. When it revved up it's Flat-twelve engine to pull off I was amazed, I never thought it would be so loud and so brutal! Not sure if it was completely stock, the exhaust sounded modified, but I'm really not sure, anyway I hope you enjoy this post and more will be on the way very soon! Thanks for reading!

Wrecked #1

Hello, I have decided to do a weekly post from now on (every friday) of a wrecked high performance/expensive car. This is the first post for this weekly post and I have chosen a very, very nice car that has unfortunately been wrecked! I hope you enjoy reading this and looking at the images (well maybe some won't like what they see, I didn't!). Just as a heads up I'm not sure I will be able to post this weekend at all until Sunday as I'm staying at my girlfriends house, so maybe flick through the images and watch some videos until I get back? :-)

Here are some images of the wrecked Pagani Zonda F in Hong Kong. This crash occurred on the 26th of January 2012. According to wreckedexotics.com, the car crashed into a tree, then a pole before coming to a halt in this state. I must say I feel very bad for the owner of this incredible car, being 1 of only 25 produced and costing around £1,000,000 to buy it is an extremely rare car! I also feel bad for the car, the Pagani Zonda F is such a good looking car (especially with this colour combination) and the sound it produces is even better, it's one of my dream cars!

All images are courtesy of Wrecked Exotics, I recommend that you check out their website for hundreds of images of wrecked cars.

Quick Image of a 911 Turbo

This is the second image I will have posted that isn't that great, but it's something :-) I took this picture the other day on the way to the bus station after I had finished college (I was in a bit of a rush so I only had chance to take a quick snap) but you can still see the car an it looks fantastic, I love the way German cars always seem to look classy and expensive. I hope you enjoy viewing the images on my blog and I will probably post again later :-) Thanks for reading :-)

F430 from the bus window

This post is going to be quite random but here we go anyway; this is an image of a Ferrari F430 I took out of the bus window on the way home from college (I know the quality isn't great and the picture shows half the car) but still I thought I would upload it anyway for you to look at. It's a shame I saw the car when I did because I really would have liked to have got some really good pictures of the car parked up or a video of it driving but I didn't get the opportunity (one of the biggest problems with living in the South-West of England, there aren't many supercars) but I will continue searching for interesting cars to photograph/film and upload to here, so watch out for those!

Spotted for sale #1

I have decided to start a weekly post showing one rare/unusual car that I find for sale on the internet, I will post as much information about the car and justify why it is my choice for the week. I will also link the website showing the car for sale, just in case anyone wants to purchase it (although this is unlikely) ;-)

This weeks rare/unusual car found for sale is the Gemballa MIG-U1.

I have chosen this car because it is one of a kind, literally, it is the ONLY MIG-U1 in the world that looks like this, the MIG-U1 starts life as a Ferrari Enzo then gets modified by Gemballa, the company famous for modifying Porsche's. Personally I love this car, the way it looks, the way it sounds, everything! Gemballa plans to build 25 MIG-U1's but they promise that 'no two of the MIG-U1 models will be the same' - so each car will be unique.

The MIG-U1 is based on the Ferrari Enzo, the V12 engine in the Gemballa spits out 700bhp, enough to take the MIG-U1 from 0-60 in just 3.2s and on to a top speed of 217mph. The aerodynamics have also been tweaked, the new front skirt features a spoiler lip that generates up to 35kg of additional down-force and there are door extensions to the diffuser and rear spoiler. Fresh air flows into the engine bay through inlets in the side of the car and also on the roof.
This Gemballa MIG-U1 is for sale on James List, the website renowned for offering luxury and exclusive items for sale. Check out the link below to view more pictures and information about this amazing car.

Check out the Images!

Super quick post - check out the 'Images' section of my blog to view pictures from my trip to the Haynes Motor Museum! :-)

2009 Nissan GTR

This is my first 'proper' post on this blog. I have chosen to post images of this 2009 Nissan GTR that I saw in Exeter a while back, finished in orange with a Carbon Fibre roof. I love this colour choice because it's different to every other GTR I've seen (normally grey, black, white or red) so it was nice to see a different and brighter colour for a change. I hope you enjoyed this, more coming soon :-)

P.s sorry for the bad quality images and text, I'm posting this from my iPad and it's difficult to edit the photo's and upload them, plus they were taken on my Blackberry then downloaded from TwitPic so I didn't have good quality media to begin with.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to Spark 66 Car Blog, I know the name may seem a bit strange, but I wanted something unique :-) firstly a bit about myself; I am a 17 year old college student who lives in the South-West of the U.K. I have always been interested in cars so I thought I would set up this blog to post my opinions on cars news, images and videos etc. thanks for reading and my first 'proper' post will come very soon :-)
